Christine Butterfield

Christine joined HMG Law's Tax and Estate Planning team in February 2008. She qualified as a solicitor in 2004 having studied law as her second university degree.  Prior to that and with the benefit of a degree in the History of Art, she spent a number of years working for the Arts Council England, the UK Film Council, the Courtauld Institute Galleries and various museum and funding bodies. 

In addition to her work as a private client lawyer, where she specialises in Will preparation, obtaining Grants of Probate, administration of estates and Court of Protection work including advising on and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney, Christine has an expertise in charities and their management.
Christine is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners.

Christine also leads the firm's work with clients representing the Arts. She has combined her interests in art and law and having gained a Foundation Certificate in Art Law is now studying for a Diploma in Art Professional Law and Ethics
