Belinda is Deputy Head of the Private Client Department and a Senior Solicitor.
Belinda specialises in Wills, probate, trusts and taxation, powers of attorney, Court of Protection work and the law relating to elderly clients, including the payment of care fees. She enjoys Private Client law and building lasting relationships with her clients.
After qualifying in 1989, she worked in the City where she gained a wealth of experience dealing with trust matters and large estates. During this time, she acted for a number of prominent individuals in their capacity as Trustees.
Belinda is a full member of the Society of Trust and Estates Practitioners (STEP). She is also a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, which is an independent national organisation whose highly-experienced members provide specialist legal advice for older and vulnerable people, their families and carers.
With a view to developing her expertise further, Belinda has recently successfully completed a two year Contentious Probate course run by the University of Law.
Belinda joined HMG LAW in September 2015 in order to assist in their expanding and highly regarded Private Client department. She regularly attends the Wednesday Business Club in Bicester on behalf of the firm.
Outside the office, Belinda likes walking and spending time with her family. She lives in Marlow with her husband and two sons. She also enjoys creative writing and her aim is one day to write a book. She is originally from Wales and she retains links with her home town. She has a keen interest in dementia issues and has recently become a Dementia Friends’ Champion enabling her to run Dementia Friends Information Sessions, which is an initiative of the Alzheimer’s Society.
